gas gauge
My gas gauge is stuck on empty I think it mite have a hole in the float but would like to check the gauge before i pull the tank I heard that i should ground the gauge at the sendig unit how exactly do you do that.

Go to the sending unit with a jumper wire attached to a good ground. Follow the wire from the sending unit, and you should find a connector. Have a helper watch the gauge with the trucks ignition 'on' but not running. Ground the connector for a few seconds and the gauge should start heading up.
Ohh...don't screw up like we did at first!! We removed a gas tank on ours for the exhaust---and had the tank selector set for the fuel tank we removed. LOL.
