I was watching a tv show and of course i didn't pay attention to what one it was. But they were building a ford stroker for a mustang i believe (289 or 302). Anyway, they were talking about the issue of oil making its way from the front of the lifter valley to the rear and how the rear sometimes has issues getting oil. So they had a KIT where you port the front and rear of the block on the inside and run dual stainless lines to the rear from where the oil pump is. They said it was a kit and i need to find what kit it is so i can get one for my 445 build. Anyone see this or heard of it before?
I recall that was done by the Horsepower guys on Spike TV.
But oiling the valvetrain isn't an issue with FEs.. the issue is oiling the mains. That's why with high performance (and RPM) applications guys will install a Holley carb jet (or brass stock with a 0.070 orifice) under the rocker pedestals to feed/push more oil to the mains, a windage tray, and over-fill by one quart.
Additional measures to improve oiling is to smooth and radius the drain-back holes, grind the valley smooth, and also paint the engine's interior surfaces with Glyptal.
