I was playing spring cleaning today after the Costco visit and
even got time to clean out the inside of the truck. That was after
it quit raining like a Cow Pissing on a Flat Rock.
I've been painting since I woke up. My younger brothers room is in the second living room and has been 4 different colors for years now. We are finally laying down the primer and we are going to put a tan color down. Right now though, I'm cooking some hot pockets for lunch. Hoooot pockeeets....
I absolutely hate painting. I almost started a fire at my gf house. Put my welding hood on the kitchen counter. Long story short, it got pushed onto the big burner( thank god it was a flame retardant hood) the burner got turned on to Hi. We had to paint. She was sooooo bad I fired her from painting and had no help. So once again I HATE painting.
I don't like painting either, mainly cause there is no good way to do it. the rollers suck, brushes suck, sprayers are virtually useless and make a big mess... It took us all day to lay down a dark tan in a living room type of area. The ceiling is being saved for tomorrow when we can see.
Painting used to not be a problem. Having the right tools helps a lot.
I had all the masking and spray tools one could want and a nice set
of brushes along with some rollers.
But that is all gone after the house fire in 2001
An HVLP sounds like it would make interior painting pretty nice despite the fumes and such. A fancy respirator would work, or a t-shirt wrapped around nose and mouth. I'll have to try that some day when I have my own place. Paint a room with a spray gun instead of a roller. Maybe learn to do some airbrushing and do a designing or something.
