Well the Pirelli Scorpions that came on my '13 Limited are down to the wear bars at 16K miles. Not surprised though cause my '07 Supercrew came with the same tire and I only squeezed 18k out of them. 22" choices are very limited. Has anyone out there had any experience with the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo2? I like the looks of these and specs look ok for my driving needs. The truck is just a city/highway daily driver with minimal light towing. Appreciate any input.
I'm not a Bridgestone fan, but I haven't heard too many complaints about the Revo.
Toyo's Open Country line has 22" offerings, as well as Cooper's Zeon LTZ which they call a hybrid AT tire.
Only issue with Revo's is the price and the wear rating. Otherwise, I heard they are fantastic tires.
I ditched those ridiculous Pirelli's a few months after getting my truck, had Firestone Destination STs mounted (more street driving than anything else). Turned out to be a fantastic tire.
They utterly suck in the rain and have wickedly weak sidewalls, at least from my experience. (no comments about hitting curbs either!! :P).
Yeah they do suck, mine were shot at 22000. They were real easy to break loose in the rain and even on dry pavement. I bought the Michelin LTX M/S2's and what a difference. I drive mostly highway but I have been off road with them and they worked fine, I wouldnt do any serious off roading with them. Ride is exceptional to the pirellis and so is handling.
Those were on my shortlist, but I really wanted the more aggressive street tread of the Desination STs. I wouldn't consider any serious off-roading with these either, but I drive 99% on the street towing, hauling, and commuting (sadly, my biggest use of this truck lately).
