Clutch setup
Hi Guys, I have put a 327 Chevy in my 52 Ford F2 truck with the wilco adapter and I'm using the old heavy duty Ford 3 speed trans. Now I am wanting to update to a Chevy manual transmission but I want to keep the peddle set up to look factory, don't want to change the peddles but need a way to make them work. The only thing I am worried about is how to make the clutch setup work. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. I don't want an automatic, I want to down shift and hear those beautiful pipe sing. So anyone who has done this, let me know what worked for you. Thanks, Dennis

I once had Chevy Nova with a TH400 set up with a manual override on the 3-2 downshift. It'd rip your teeth out if you weren't careful.
It'd lift the front wheels too. I wonder why my neck is sore much of the time.

I think the adapters for a T5 will work on other GM-pattern trannies, but I can't say if the input shaft and bearing retainer will work out. Check with Speedway and Cornhuskers. You'll have to saw on your crossmember to fit any of them.
