1991 Ranger Plugs

1991 Ranger Plugs
On a 1991 Ranger with the little baby four banger, I see that there are 8 plugs on this engine. Has anyone been able to change the intake side plugs without removing all the engine accesories? Thanks!

I had A 92 Ranger with the same motor... I have small hands so i was able to some what feed the wrench in there but heres how to do it...get some long extentions and a universal joint...if you can ge one with the spring on it cool...and just feed it between the intake runners and take it out... the last one was the hardest... take your hand and kinda make a path by move around some of all that plumbing then feed your extention back there and go to town...I hope that helps I my Ranger for 130000 by the the first set of plugs is the hardest...btw make sure you put some oil inside on the rubber insert on the spark plug socket this will help keep the socket from sticking to plug after puttiing it in..

Another handy trick to "grab" onto hard to reach plugs is to use a piece of rubber hose. For the lube on the boots, I like a little dab of dielectric grease; it helps to make wire removal down the road much easier.

Ok, thanks. I knew the intake side was going to be a pain, but at least the exhaust side is easy 
Well, time to get dirty I guess since the truck has 140k on it and those are factory plugs LOL!!!
