I would contact a local machine shop. Everything can be repaired, normally its not cost effective to do so, but if no good new castings are available, you might have to pursue repairs. They cannot be welded with an ordinary welder or ordinary welding methods. They have to be repaired by someone who specializes in repairing cast iron. If you search for cast iron head repair, you can probably find a good outfit to fix yours.

The 2.3's show up on ebay almost weekly, the 2.2's not so often, maybe every few months.
