What is the best fitting intercooler pipe for the 6.4. Gonna do a Banks Intercooler real soon. Not to concerned about price, just want good quality and good fitment. Don't mind doing a little grinding, but I don't want to chop up the whole radiator support.
Yes. If you had to do it again would you get the same one?
It would be either the Flo-Pro of the MBRP. I talked with two different guys at different places and they both said that the 'quality' of the Flo-Pro looked better. They meant 'prettier'! Each said it either one would be fine. I just ended up with the Flo-Pro due to a couple pf other guys on here having one.
Yes, I probably would buy the same one again...it is a VERY tight fit and I cut some plastic shims to keep the tube from touching the support and A/C lines. I love the look and the little bit of a sound difference. Not much, but a better 'groan' at full throttle..
There is quite a bit of grinding to do, I hope you have access to an air 'die' type grinder. OH, and be careful around those A/C lines as that can get expensive if you touch one of those with the grinder. This is what it looks like when the stock one is in place
This was not enough grinding.
This is what it took to get mine through there. I could've taken the support loose, but I chose to leave it in place.
And after a sight touch of rattle can BLACK, this is what the finished product looks like on mine.
I like it!
