Subwoofer Wiring Problem

Hey guys i just replaced my old blown single voice coil sub with a new dual voice coil one and when I wire it up it will go to a fully in position or a fully out position if I reverse the speaker wires. I tried each voice coil separately and it does the same thing. I have the voice coils wired + to + and - to-. I am wondering now if my amp is fried or what?

Thanks ahead for the responses

Sounds like an amp problem and your getting straight DC to speaker.

Yep and you'll need to find why this is! If a constant DC current is present you'll cook your new subs in short order. Most likely your amp is cooked which might have caused the original subs to fail?
