2010 F450 DRW 6.4L

I'm looking at the above type vehicle. It has only 23,595 miles on it. Can anyone give me the scoop on if the 2010 6.4l engines are worth the $$?
I have a 2003 F250 6.0l , but need something bigger for towing a fifth wheel.

The 6.4 is a strong engine and tow beast that requires you to stay on top of the maintenance. Make sure maintenance is up to date, and view maintenance history if you can. If its at a Ford Dealership I would have all fluids changed as well. How big of a fifth wheel do you have, and would a F350 DRW work? Not sure if this 450 has 4.88 or 4.30 rear end. You can get the 350 with 3.73, 4.10 or 4.30 rear end.

That's a heavy pin wight and the 450 will handle it.

I had an '08 F-450 pickup w/4.30 axle ratio. Great truck but non-towing mileage was never better than 10-12 mpg. Excellent brakes and handled a trailer like it wasn't there.

You will want to follow the severe duty maintenance schedule. Use only OEM fuel and oil filters.

Weekly fluid checks and visual checks to spot anything will go along ways.
