Getting the aeroforce scan gauge ordered today, finally. Anyway, I need some ideas on where to mount it. Pics would help. I've hot the 3 gauge pillar pod now filled up and don't want to go to 4. I really like where Bill and Darin have theirs mounted, yet my sat radio already has made it's home there. So what am I left with. Column, dash somewhere, or ash tray, below ash tray? I'd like to have it where it's easily read and could be pulled out with relative ease. My brother has a rough 01 and I'm sure it'll need read in the future. As always, thanks guys.
just posted this in another thread, but here's where I put mine:
I need to clean it up a little and paint the holder, but the visibility while driving is good. I just cut it out of 16 gauge sheet metal and bent it up in a vise.
if anyone's interested, I can post the flat pattern of the metal - I drew it up in CAD real quick. getting the hole cut in the bezel would have been stressful if I wasn't putting into my old beat-up bezel first (notice all the other holes and busted tank selector mounts in it). i'll be mounting into a good, salvaged bezel after I replace my steering column...
Todd, I have one of those single pods like Travis has on my steering column. It's just a universal mount with a couple screws to fasten it down. I have one of those pods like Jose has. It is slightly modified as its a SD pod, and I think iirc I may have cut a little more out around where the shifter was. I didn't like it with my truck because of the shifter, but since you no longer have one, it would work for you. I'd have to find it, but if you want it its yours. PM me your address and i'll send it. I don't think I have any of the screws to fasten it down, you'd have to get some. I just had it sitting on my column(to see how I liked it) not fastened, screws are I'm sure lost.

Yes That is right, I cut a little where the shifter is and a little where the MFS is too.
BTW I tried to rep you Darin but Im in jail
Nice write up Jose. I like it. Your backwards speedo threw me off for a minute
Now that you bring that up, why do you suppose it is Ford can change the speedo to make KPH the key reading, but they can't change the words on the dash to Spanish?
Is that common for all makes Jose, or was your truck a conversion or something from the states?
