F150 Rear Leaf Spring Defect

I am having problems with both my rear leaf springs. Brackets are not rusted but ripping like a piece of paper on both sides. One leaf spring of each side is broken.

Does anyone know if there has been a recall done on them? Or has anyone else had this major problem?

Thank you for all your help.

F150 Rear Leaf Spring Defect

Very common for rear leafs on the F150's to break. The other "ripping" on the brackets is probably the outer layer(rustproofing or steel scale) peeling off. As long as the brackets aren't rusting away, they should be fine. The ideal thing to do with the springs is throw a new set(both sides) in, probably some of the unbroken ones will go in the future.

Thank you, did just that, went and replaced them. As well as did the shocks to as they were going. Now I can continue my holiday and go fishing.
