Isn't that a circuit malfunction code or a sensor input problem from the PCM or harness?

You may have left the EVR solenoid unplugged after messing around in the area. Check its connectors for damaged pins, etc.

I haven't worked on a EGR system since my '97 Ranger but as I recall you'll need a hand vacuum pump as well. You should have a AllDataDIY account for info such as how much applied vacuum equals how much voltage specs and other general info. IIRC, the input is 5V but output varies with vacuum.

You need to properly diagnose the control circuit for the EVR solenoid and quit the "parts swapping".

You seem to be stuck on this being a EGR valve problem when the DTC is for a EGR circuit problem.

Had same code found broken purple wire right at the egr solenoid connector. The pin on the pcm is number 47 if you need to trace it or by pass the wire altogether.

Gary was spot on with this answer so if anyone is searching for this code and looking for a fix do not overlook the wiring right at the connector. On mine the engine wiring harness support where it mounts to the solenoid had broken and the harness dropped creating tension on the EGR connector eventually breaking the wire inside of the insulation. I could not see it just looking at it quickly. You can see it once you start moving the wire right at the connector the insulation is very weak and looks gives easily as the wire inside was broke.

These connectors are available for replacement as the wire was broke right at the connector.

I just stripped mine back about for now to get a little solder on it to ensure all was good. If I have any issues later on I'll replace the connector.

Thanks Gary for sharing your experience .. I hope this helps someone else out there.

Just for giggles, Pulling the neg battery terminal for an hour can reset the computer and all the stored codes.

It doesn't take an hour plus you'd then have to reprogram everything. There are better ways.

Reprogram ??? I have done this battery disconnect on my 2015 Superduty a few times now and no problems.. Ford dealer told me to do it when I was getting error messages concerning my gas cap.. Disconnecting the negative side of the battery fixed it.. What happens when you change out your battery.. you have reprogram the computer..? I think not !
