After a lot of delays, the new high performance 460 is in my Bronco and running strong. My thanks to all those here who answered questions and gave advice.
The cam is radical enough that sitting at a stoplight with it at idle through the headers and 3" system gathers a lot of looks of what's in that Bronco. It pulls right up to 6200rpm, scary fast for the suspension, but the 3.50s are going to be replaced with 4.10s.
The header crankcase evac system is working fine, I pulled the collectors after 100 miles and found no traces of oil.
A couple of pics of the new engine installed are on my website with the engine specs.
Great job George thats one nice looking engine It's good to hear that the crank evac system is working as I am using the same set up. A little more time in the garage and I will have mine running too. Eric
George, I was curious as to were you put the check valves for the evac? I have L&L headers on my pulling truck and don't really want to put mine in the collector and mess the headers up were I can't sell them or use them on something else. I had been thinking of trying it right after the collector.
