Ok, so my 1986 bronco is a little of a Frankenstein truck. The block is a 351w from a 96 truck, with GT-40 heads and 4 barrel carb. ZF5 trans and BW 1356 transfer case. The PO wired in a fuel pump switch in the cab which was left on for a couple days, draining my almost brand new AGM battery. I jumped it from my truck and got it started. Put it into gear and it stalled and now I can't get it to turn over at all. No click, nothing.
Could I have fried something? I tried popping the clutch but it didn't work either. I didn't have tools with me and its 30 miles from the house so when I get back out there I want to have some ideas on what to check.
See if you have power at the coil +. Does your blower and wipers work? You might want to take a spare battery, the other one may have been ruined, and it also will take a long time for it to charge back up.
I tried to jump it off my truck again. I had power enough to roll up the back power window but I didn't check the wipers or fan. I could hear the fuel pump turn on, but it wouldn't crank or turn over at all.
Could I have fried the solenoid? I didn't have a screwdriver to try and arc it.
Well, i guess it doesn't matter too much. I went out to get it started this morning and it was gone. Someone stole it. Let's hope the police dept can find it in one piece.....
