High Flow Cats????

AUBronco40,

If I gut them.....wont that make my SES light come on??? If so how do I avoid it??

I actually don't know I have never gutted one before so I am not sure about the affects but I bet some of these others guys might know.

High Flow Cats????

I cut my 2nd cat off and im going to weld a new highflow on, do any of you think the emissions inspector will say anything about it seeing the new weld and that it doesnt look 12 years old like my old one lol.

I removed my second cat as well as gut the two into one preheater cat. I threw no codes (not sure why not), and it passes a visual inspection.

Well the law is that you can't remove a functiioning cat correct? well the way that I see is if I do my own wrenching (unless its something major) how is the inspector guy gonna be able to prove if the cats that I removed were dead or not? esspecially when there is another one on there. Its just newer.
