I want to convert my c6 to a t18 or t19 but i cant find the orginal linkage for a good price hasdoes anyone know how to make the hydrolic system work from the newer trucks
You need the different bellhousing that mounts the hydraulic slave. You need the clutch master that mounts to the firewall, and you need to cut the hole in the firewall to make it fit. You also need the hydraulic clutch pedal assembly from the same truck, but there have been some guys on here who say your pedal assembly will work with some modifications. Just make sure to get a pedal assembly from 86-down truck, the 87-up will not bolt in.
It will all fit up if you get the parts. Making the hole in the firewall and pulling the tranny to change the bell will be the hardest parts. If it were me doing this, I would look for a donor pickup with the same engine as yours, and that has a 5 speed with the overdrive. All the 5 speeds have the bellhousing built into the tranny, and are hydraulic clutch. The overdrive is really nice and worth the effort to swap in.
