transmission fluid change

going to change the transmission fluid and wondering if i should change the filter in the pan or just the external one and do a dump and fill? i have 135k miles on it and have had it since 95k miles and never have done anything with the transmission.

No need to change the pan filter, but I did at 100k miles - just because plastic can get old and brittle. Probably didn't need it, but every 100k miles is not much of a "burden".
