SD rear spring swap.

I just got some superduty B code springs to put in the rear and have a couple questions.

I want to take the overloads off cause I have airbags. Do I need a new center bolt to hold them together or do the threads go down far enough i won't?

Also I know the one side will need to be drilled out for a 3/4 inch bolt but i didn't know if the smaller other side would.

OK started on one side.

I did need a new bolt for the center. I just ground the points off a regular 3" bolt and that looks like it will work.

Front spring eye and hanger holes get drilled out with a 3/4" step drill bit and extension for 3/4" 5" long Grade 8 bolts and nuts

I've got velvet shackles on the rear so the SD rear bolts will work. If reuseing OBS schackles it would need drilled out because the OBS bolt is smaller. Looks like springs alone will raise it an inch or so in the back.

I guess I can only find Grade 5 bolts for now. Do you guys think they will work?

I wouldn't use them, I'd find some 8's.

That's all I do.

Just need to take a little off, not much.
Works great and easier to tighten, no need for vice grips.

Thanks for the replies!

Got them both in. I used grade 5's in the front but will get 8's in there soon. It raised the back end up about an inch so now I think a D60 with 2.25 rsk will level it good.
