trying to get everything ready to swap in a D60 into the front of my 97 f250.
but I think I've seen something about the driveshaft being different. I have the F350 shaft with a double joint on it but not the yoke on the transfer case. Will the F250 shaft work? And are the hole's already in the frame for the track bar? And were's the best place to get the bushing for the front shackle
Thank's John

I used my 250 front shaft, but I have a pinion seal leaking now. Used 4x4 very little since the swap, so it may be best to use the 350 shaft. The hole are in the frame for the track bar bracket. I ordered my Energy Suspension poly bushings through Auto Zone.
Some report a vibration with the 250 front drive shaft and using the 350 seems to clear that up. But, a 350 transfer case yoke must be used to make the 350 drive shaft fit. Buy it used from a wrecking yard or there are a few vendors on this forum that can help you out with a new one.
instead of changing the yoke on the t-case, can't you just search out a universal joint that will match up to the 250 yoke and the 350 driveshaft? I remember reading on here somewhere that the 250 yoke actually accepts a bigger u-joint than the 350 one. if that is true, wouldn't 2 small pieces of pipe and a few minutes on a lathe solve the problem?
it sounded like the yoke swap would be pretty rough on the t-case bearings - plus I recall that the splines on the two yokes are different...
Those 350 yokes are hard to find because 96-97 f250&350 use the 1470 t case I believe so there isn't a large supply of them out there and the double cardon joint on the f350 uses a different yoke than the f250. Some have used the 250 drive shaft as is, some have had to shorten it. I have heard if you are going to keep it stock hight, the driveline angle should be ok for it to survive. Last I knew no one makes a replacement for it either. Some claims to have a number of new ones, maybe over on powerstrokenation. When I did mine I found one that had the same spline count but had v type splines instead of the square 90 degree corner type. I had to do some modifications to it but got it to work. I believe also if you find a used 350 driveshaft it should be from a truck with the same transmission, or the lengths will be different. I think if you do a seach for my name in this forum you should find my adventures with it.
I think I'm gonna have to change mine to the 350 shaft. Back in the winter while driving in 4 HI, I felt a vibration, and now the pinion seal is leaking. May be something else, but I figure it is the 250 shaft.
