Motor Interchange
I have a 2001 f150 5.4 crewcab that i picked with a blown motor. My qustion is will a 2004 expedition 5.4 2 valve motor work. The junkyard says it wont work. If its just a matter of changeing the intake i can do that. Whats the diffrance? bolth vin numbers 8 didaget is L. Any info would help alot Thanks guys

You have to:
Account for the difference in PCM operating program from OBDII to the next version in CAN.
Look to see if it has the first year camshaft phasor system the new CAN and PCM controls.
Stare and compare all the hardware and harnesses.
Be sure before you buy and get into the hassle.
