Fog Light Problem
I have a 2011 Ford F-250 6.7 and i'm having problems with my fog lights. I just got this unit and when I got it the fog lights worked fine. Now they won't go on when they are suppose to. I'm sure it's a real easy fix and I just don't know the truck yet but here's my problem. With the headlight switch in the Automatic position, I pull out the switch to turn on my fog lights. Now. if the drivers door is closed, the fog lights will not light. As soon as I open my drivers door, the fog lights turn on and work fine until of course I shut my door. I have no idea what I did or if there is actually a problem but I really want to use my fog lights for daytime driving.

Not sure about the fog lamps coming on in the daytime with the door open while in auto headlamp mode with the switch pulled (already too dark to try it here). But I can tell you that the fog lamps will not turn on unless the headlamps are on.
If you want the fog lamps on in the daytime to use as daytime running lamps, ask your dealer to activate the truck's built-in daytime running light system. It lights the headlamps at half brightness in the daytime whenever the gear shift lever is not in 'P'ark. All trucks shipped to Canada have that feature turned on. I had the dealer turn mine on. First dealer I went to said it couldn't be done. Second dealer hooked up the scanner/programmer and had them turned on in less than 5 minutes. Tell them the feature is in the BCM (Body Control Module).
