I measured the HO cam specs when I pulled the engine at 200K. The lifters had a fairly broad wear pattern, but the cam was still in good shape.
The intake lobe measured:
284deg duration at 0.004" tappet lift
206deg duration at 0.050" tappet lift
112deg duration at 0.200" tappet lift
0.283" max tappet lift
112deg ILCA defined at 0.050" tappet lift
The exhaust lobe measured:
290deg duration at 0.004" tappet lift
218deg duration at 0.050" tappet lift
110deg duration at 0.200" tappet lift
0.272" max tappet lift
120deg ELCA defined at 0.050" tappet lift
Thank you very, very much. I have the engine that came out of my trk. which is supposed to be a 351 HO. Do you happen to know what identifying marks are on this cam? I'd like to be sure its an HO part. Again thanks,Bill.
