I have a problem with my brakes that I can't seem to figure out. At first I had air in my lines so the pads weren't releasing pressure off the rotors when I released the brake pedal. When I went to bleed the brakes I stripped the bleeder screw off one of the calipers. Anyway I installed the new caliper, bled the brakes and I still have no brake pressure, I mean the pedal goes to the floor. I took it on a test run around the block, gave it some gas, hit the brakes and the back tires locked up so the back seems to be working fine. I really don't know much about brakes but I was thinking it might be the proportioning valve? What do yall think?
Based off what you have said, it sounds like a master cylinder issue... If you bled the brakes and got fluid out the front then the proportioning valve isn't blocked..
Alright. Do you think I might have the brake booster vacuum line hooked up in the wrong place? I got a 650 cfm Holley double pumper and I got the vacuum line hooked up to the big one on the back of the carb.

Are you bleeding them correctly? And make sure you have fluid in your master cylinder.
Yep, bled them until there wasn't any bubbles coming out with fresh fluid and started from the furthest away which would be the back passenger side and worked my way to the closest.

that's part of it...with the vehicle off pump the brakes up till they are hard to press then open the bleeder. Apply the brakes till theres no bubbles coming out. then close the bleeder. repeat for each wheel in the order you did..
Alright well I bled the brakes real good again, I guess there was still some air in the lines.
I took it for a test drive, mashed the brakes and about kissed the windshield. lol
Do yall have touchy brakes? It's the first time I've actually had real brake pressure in the truck so it was new to me.
