Im working on swapping the gears out of a 77 housing into my 66 housing.
I have pulled the axles out of the 77 rear end. The axles are 28 spline and are tapered, but I think they are the kind that can be resplined.
I have all of the bolts out of the center section, but cannot get the center section seperated from the housing. Im afraid to bang on the center section to much, I dont want to break it.
Any tips on how to get these two pieces seperated.
I was told this was a traclok. What gear oil should I use and how much? 2.25 qts is what the AZ website says.
