Ok so here's the story I bought a 2006 f-350 Sunday drove it home no problems Plenty of power ran great no smoke (it was a 200 miles trip) anyway get it home that night go out the next morning crank no start... Hooked up my Mac scanner to it no codes... Spray it with a minor amount of ether (I know it's bad I shouldn't do this) it fired right up and ran as it did when I drive it home no problem. Still no codes fcim is right at 48 volts. Battery voltage is about 12.73 it cranks fast when cranking. After about 5 seconds of cranking no oil pressure is shown on the instrument cluster. previous owner installed New glow plugs .. Now here is the kicker when I shut it off and not rotate the key all the way back then restart it fires right up but if key is removed from the ignition it will not restart any help is appreciated
I have the scan the tool I will get some numbers today as far as the remote start and all that no there's no system on it. Which systems should I be looking at as far as collecting data from. Thank you for your reply
After hours on this forum based upon my symptoms and reading with scan tools my guess was icp. So went out today unplugged it and the truck fired right up. Thank you all and for a HUGE amount of info on this forum.. And blade35 the batteries were brand new they had 200 miles on them that might of been the issue there.. It was about 14v per my scan tool when running

Sweet you Likly found the issue
BAD ICP sensor
A Double check would be to look at ICPV Gauge at KOEO it should read 0.18v-0.24v thats the Good Range at Key On Engine Off
Would be a Good Idea to check this^^^ because lets say you had a Low HPO Issue and unplugging the ICP sensor may Trick the PCM just enough to start
Ok I will check it tomorrow after work.. Now some more food for thought.. With my diagnosis of the bad icp. Let's say that's not the problem would it start right up and run great? Also once the truck fired up with icp unplugged I shut it off and plugged it back in and no more problems after a small drive around the neighborhood and 5 or so restarts with it plugged in.... Maybe just a intermittent failing sensor or bad connection?
