replacement tank
where can i get a replacement tank for a ford behind the seat.not sure what year the one i have is and the sending unit isnt working.i have it against the cab in the bed.have power running to it.when i put the ground to the pwer the gauge goes all the way to full but doesnt work when hooked up right.i took the float out re hooked it up and when i move the arm the gas gauge still doesnt move.

i have a another tank just like it but the sending unit is different.i would use that tank but its rusted out.the one im using screws in and the other one doesnt.how do i tell what year sending unit i need?

If it is a non screw in and a drop in with a lock ring you screw and stake down to lock i'd say its a newer style one.

The only two places i'm aware of are 'Blue Oval Truck Parts' and 'Dennis Carpenter'....both about $225
