Driveline Update

Several of you provided much support and advice about my driveline vibration which developed after the stacked blocks on my rear end collapsed. Thought I would give you an update.

The culprit was a bent pinion !

Its is now fixed and the Ex is back in action

The guy who did my lift said he had never seen that in 39 years, and that they break but dont bend.

Guy from the drivetrain shop said it is rare but it does occur.

I have the bent pinion and with the new one in the vibration is gone !!

Well glad it's fixed but man that had to take some serious force to bend it - lucky it wasn't worse for the occupants of the vehicle at the time.

It sounds like the truck dropped onto a big rock when off roading and hit on the yoke, or just the yoke was bent...........very strange.

No

Was on a street, accelerated away from a stoplight, when the axle tried to wrap it bent the u-bolts, the blocks fell out, back end of the truck collapsed, drive shaft sheared off at its junction with the rear differential
