Repaired Trip Computer

I just received my trip computer from the repair shop and it worked when installed. However I was very disappointed in what it has the capability of displaying. Very rudimentary!! Mine will not even display outside temp. What option provides the temp capability?? I thought my Ex had almost every option available. If I remember correctly the only thing it displays is Avg mpg, miles remaining and compass direction. Is it supposed to display anything else????

What year is your X? I believe the later models do not display temp because it's on the climate control panel. My '00 trip computer displays exterior temp, MPGs, distance to empty, and direction.

The automatic climate control on my '05 displays the ext temp. The manual climate control ext temp (if equiped) is displayed on the overhead display.

Thanks for the input guys. Mine is an 04 also has the auto control and displays the ext temp. That's a switch I had never pushed.

And every time you disconnect battery(s) and then reconnect them you push that button again!
