Gt40p header help!
I have an F150 pickup with a 302.
What all headers work with gt40p heads?
I have heard that you can make bbk's work, however from summit they are $200 and the long tubes are $400. I a looking for cheap/
m
Is there any other headers I can make work? ( I do have tools to dimple/heat and bend)

I've never put headers on GT40P heads but I have read that "IF" you go with headers with individual flanges and not the one piece flange and "IF" you are willing to get new plug wires you may be OK. You would need wires with "90 deg." boots at the plugs to clear the header pipes on some cylinders. You could also get some of that Hi Temp. covering for hoses & wires to further protect them from the hot pipes.

long tubes have more scavenging to them witch has more flow and more power, shorty headers have less tube length with less flow a the collector is closer, so in terms shorty headers are good for bottom end 1500 rpm to about 3000rpm and long tubes are good from idle to the max rpm
