So im almost done installing all my new parts and realized i forgot a step when i had the valve covers off i mightyvaced the back to cylinders out then after installing my new injectors i cranked the motor over by hand 10-12 times till back drivers side cylinder quit puking oil then i installed all my new glow plugs and valve covers up pipes turbo before realizing i never cranked it over with the starter!!
Should i pull it all back apart? What are do you guys recommend i do?
I have pulled VCs at least a dozen times... that is very minor work to make sure things are right in the world. I'm ****, but Stinky (the wonder truck) has suffered many an error and is still delivering the mail. If it were me, I'd pop the VCs, all 8 glow plugs, loosely fit the VCs back on, then crank with the battery to be sure. The back two are not the only ones that catch fuel/oil. It's not a waste of time if you gain confidence about turning the key.
now i need some ideas how to break the harmonic balancer loose im replacing the lpop mines leaking oil i have the puller on it and retaining bolt out im flexing the puller
oh,ok,I see what your talking about now. I had to soak mine in pb blater for a bit. Every once n a while tapping on the puller and spraying more on. Mine was tight too.
