I was told this morning buy a yukon parts dealer that a true trac does not provide limited slip in reverse only in forward,in reverse it is open, does anyone know if this is true?
answering my own question, just got off the phone with tru trac and they say it works in both directions, and not to use synthetic oil,it needs the friction of standard weight oil to work best, they recommended 80-90 weight oil based on my location and cold weather temperatures

I had 4 wheel parts install my True-Trac about 2 years ago and I'm very pleased with it. I run Amsoil in the diff also. It has traction to both wheels when needed and open when at speed.

what made you decide to use a synthetic gear oil with the truetrac?
i could use one of these desperately but never liked the idea of going back to dino gear lube.
also, anyone know what the latest is on getting an e-locker like the new trucks? last i checked i came up empty to buy one.what's up with that?
I asked the 4 wheel parts techs what they recommended and they said Amsoil, which is good because thats what I like to run in the diff and transfer case anyhow.
