Phony M-H.

While I agree that the ad stretches the limits of misrepresentation (I don't think the text ever says "Marmon-Herrington) due to the tags, I personally don't think it's all that different from any other nicely restored old Ford trucks which havebeen "dark sided". Many times at shows. I'll see what appears to be a really nice old F-100 which I want to look at (and compare to my own) only to find it has either a complete late Ford (or horrors, a late G.M.) drive train in it. It still carries all the original Ford logos and badging so is that "misrepresentation"?

I messaged the guy and asked him about it, this is the response I got:

Dear frankiegillen,

I am curious why the MH badges indicate that this is should be an F-250? also, it appears that it has 1970's Ford bronco axles, and not appropriate for a Marmon Herrington.

Dear irondragon79,

That is correct this has been redone to look like MH.....nice truck

If you just ask the question for clarification in the question section, it gets published together with his answer. That way any potential buyer can see it.

Questions and answers don't automatically get posted in the questions section. The seller decides if he wants to post one or more questions/answers. Notice that he hasn't posted the additional pictures of the underside like he said he would. I sure hope whoever bid on this has done his homework. Stu

It says "Marmon Herrington" and "Marmon Herrington" conversion right at the top of the ad. Totally misrepresented. Even some of the muscle car ads I see that are a little shaky often call the vehicle a "tribute". This ad has nothing indicating this was not a true Marmon Herrington conversion. Someone has bid $35,000 for it. I hope they've done their homework. Don't get me wrong it is a cool truck and nicely done. Needs to state in the ad the true details of what's been done to it.

O.K.; guilty. I skipped from the first line of his header down to the text. I glossed over the two lines in smaller type in the header. "Speed reading" or old age.
