Hmm, 460 with and auto. And fully charged ac.. Can't get a good look at the front axle, but it looks to have lockout hubs. Hmm does this mean I can make my truck an MH by slapping on some badges? Nice looking truck, but doubt worth 35K

The front axle is a 1966-71 Bronco Dana 30 thats been modified to work with leaf springs. Probably has the matching 9" rear axle from the same vehicle.

Yeah, I agree. Might be a great truck and perfectly suited to modern use. No reason to mis-label it. Stu

Yes, that truck looked suspicious when I saw it last night.

Do they repop the MH badges?

I have never seen a true MH truck with hubcaps on...

Is the big lever on the floor the automatic tranny shifter or is that the transfer case shifter? I think it is for the tranny.

It is a nice looking truck, but not $35,000 nice!

Don't know RE MH badges. I would suspect they could be made easily.

I suspect the shifter shown is a modern, possibly Lokar shifter. Look closely and I believe you can see the shift pattern on the ****. I don't see anything that looks like a TC shift lever.

Chuck has the repop badges for my era truck, so I suspect he also has them for the later models. Stu

That is a nice looking truck. Maybe the current owner doesn't know much about it.
35K without meeting the reserve though....that is sure out of my range.

A very nice looking truck... clean and well done, but... totally misrepresented. Either the guy was duped when buying it or is trying to pass on the scam. A perfect example of needing to do one's homework when wanting to buy something like a MH or any "numbers matching factory correct" muscle car. There is alot of this stuff out there. Let the buyer beware!

I think that someone, more knowlegable then me, should notify e-pay about this misrepresentation - Someone is going to get took with no recourse, kinda like the guy trying to peddle it.

The M-H badge lists the truck as a model M254. Can you guess what that translates to? That's right, a 3/4 ton F-250, not an F-100. Now that I've paid better attention to all the pictures, the main dash badge is no doubt one of Chuck's repops. But the brass AWD/RWD one on the dash has been cleaned up 'cause I don't think Chuck has reproduced it yet. So somewhere along the line the builder started out with a M-H that let them use the good numbers to have Chuck make the new badge. I'm no expert on the '56 models, but can say from doing my own that I really doubt there's a M-H transfer case under it. With the automatic it'd be a real tight fit. Wish Chuck would drop by here to comment. At the least the seller should hear that the number doesn't go with an F-100. I'll email Chuck to ask if he's already told the seller. Stu

Chuck's reply to my email, cut and pasted with his permission. I'll look into what's involved giving eBay a heads up. Stu

<!--StartFragment-->Stu,
I was the one who asked for the chassis pictures. After I told him he should disclose that there is nothing M-H about this truck, he claimed that he never said it was an M-H, and he is being honest to anybody who asks him.
I'm not sure if this is the same idiot I sold the plates to, or if it's already changed hands. He had paperwork for an F-250, so he wanted the M-H plate to match. The way he danced around the whole conversation, it sounded like he was cobbling together a POS, so I sold him what he wanted. I'm shocked at how nice the truck is! Why would anybody go this far, and not put correct, F-100 serial numbers on it?
Chuck
