Help & Advice with Fault Codes
The truck seems to lug in overdrive at slower speeds (it does shift thru all the gears) and I will manually switch OD off with the shifter button and sometimes it will shift real hard when I am really on the accelerator.
Here are the codes
Code 23 O
Fuel Injector pump lever sensor input is out of self-test range.
This one is not a big issue - I installed a new FIPL and just need to adjust. Found a great post on the forum with help on this one.
Code 65 R
Overdrive Cancel Switch not changing state (E4OD); transmission fault
I need help on this one - my OD light never comes on, but the switch works. Often at slow speeds I'll need to switch the OD off manually so the engine wont lug. Is there a switch or sensor somewhere that I can replace? Any help would be appreciated.
Code 74 R
Brake On/Off (BOO) switch fault; not actuated.
Any ideas on this one? My parking brake foot lever is broken - but I don't know if this is why it’s throwing this code.
Code 94 O
Converter Clutch Control (CCC) circuit failure.
Need help and advice on this error code too. I hope all of these are something I can replace without dropping the tranny pan. Or else I'll need to take it into a transmission shop.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
code 23
as you know, you need to set the fipl/tps.this is why she's lugging in OD instead of downshifting when she should be.instructions:

code 65
remove the plastic around the column behind the steering wheel.requires cylinder lock removal for upper section.turn key forward to RUN,look under to see small hole.push in with an awl or something, then pull the lock out.
now inspect/replace the wiring for the OD cancel switch.see where it rubs on the metal way up? look under the wire.see the bare spot rubbing through? repair/replace and or inspect bulb.
i wire loomed this wire while i was in there doing something back along.
code 74
the BOO is the Brake On/Off switch.it's located on the brake pedal.
test again using KOEO.if you don't get the code here, then you just forgot to press the brake pedal during KOER so disregard.if code is present during KOEO then i would just replace it.
Code 94
uh oh.during which test? KOEO or KOER or both?
down on the pass side of trans is a shield.remove it temporarily to reveal the solenoid plug.carefully unclip it,and look it over good.if you see any bare wires you need to replace it.if all looks ok then spray it with electrical cleaner (don't use anything else.it's not as effective) also using the spray tube, spray down in the connector/trans side and flush it for a few seconds.let it set for 10 mins, then soak it up so it's dry.then apply some dialectic grease and be sure to fully snap/lock it back in and put the shield back on the side of trans.
remove negative battery cables for 5 mins and hook back up to clear all codes.test drive.varying speeds, stop and go.it may take a day or two driving for any codes to return as some things take a few times to read before the ecm tosses them.when and if they do,post back any further/returning codes.
that'll get ya a good start.good luck.
I'm sure I got Code 94 both when engine off and engine on. Your picture looks like where the connector to the Banks Trans Command went - I purchased the by-pass adapter from them and unhooked their Trans Command about 18-20 months ago...
I will go over all these things when I get the time next week and into the weekend.
Hopefully nothing really expensive to fix now that I know where to look...
