Quick advice needed--starter
I jumped in it this morning and ran up to the store to grab some bagels and donuts. I went to start I didn't get anything out of her. It turns out the starter jammed on me. I pulled the starter and roll started it and got it back into the garage. This is a JY starter that I put in last weekend because the previous one was crapping out on me.
Is this a sign of another bad starter or did I just luck out and hit the ignition wrong and should chalk it up to bad luck?
I'm in a situation where this needs to be a daily driver starting tomorrow. The JY I got the starter from is open on Sundays but no one is there that can exchange it for me until tomorrow abut I wont be able to get there during business hrs until next Saturday.
Should I trust this starter and just be careful about turning the engine over? I did do kind of a double bump type of turn of the key because I wasn't really paying attention. If I should put this starter in again do you think I could trust at least until next weekend. I do carry tools and can pull it again and roll again if I have to but it's going to be at night and really wouldn't be in the mood.
Is there anything I can check on this starter to help prevent it jamming up again? Should I just go down to the Autozone or Pep Boys and get a re-manufactured one? Things are kind of tight right now and even the cheapie reman cost I could do without right now.
It will be much easier for the good folks on this forum to provide you with valid input concerning your problem if you will provide appropriate information on your truck. What engine do you have? What transmission? 2wd or 4wd?

I put it back in and it seems to be working fine. I hope it will at least last the 2 weeks before I can get back to it.
