mirror question and turn signal advice
Well I finally got my 77 f100 back from the shop and it's running correctly now it's time to address some of the annoying cosmetic issues. The previous owner removed the original mirrors and left these gaping holes on the door panels where the bracket used to attach. Where can I buy replacement mirrors without breaking the bank?. I saw some in parts geek that looked like they would work but I'm skeptical of anything that's labeled universal.
Also, my turn signals don't work at all. I'm assuming the best place to start troubleshooting that is going to be the switch on the column??

Since the dealers installed all the outside mirrors, and would install whatever they had in stock, you cannot go by the applications listed in the parts catalogs.

Flat upper/lower mounting brackets. Upper bracket has (2) mounting holes on 2 3/4" bolt center. Lower bracket has (2) mounting holes on 2" bolt center.
Arm has a 7 19/32" span. No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
A ebay seller had 33, an FTE member bought ALL of them and just a coupla days ago, I read a post where he said he put some for sale in FTE's classified section.

The other two types of stainless steel Swing-Loks were introduced in 1978, but there's no guarantee that 1978/79's have either, could also have either D4TZ-17682-A or D6TZ-17682-A.

Both types have 6" x 9" mirror heads. One type of mirror head (D9TZ-17723-A) has a visible gasket between the mirror glass and frame. The other mirror head (D8TZ-17723-A) glass has no gasket.
