460 efi install with pics :)

Im tackling the task of a 1996 460 in my '78 F100 Stepside.

Heres a couple few pics to get me started:

When I got it home.

Clean as could be for only 86000 miles.

Fancy adapter fittings to run -6 AN fuel lines.

REady for new gaskets and freshly sandblasted intake.

Unfortunately the damn water pump wouldnt budge so
I broke the timing cover, but new one on the way

Sorry this is a slow going built but keep watching as within the next few weekends ill be starting the swap. Heres a lil more done since the last post

VAlve covers freshly sandblasted

I sandblasted and vht'ed the manifolds along with new studs.

Ultrasoniced the injectors and ohmed them

Along with new water pump and timing cover installed due to above's misshap which is really funny becuase after I broke I realized I forgot one bolt on the old one -_-

And here is the harness all ready to go, labeled and just ready to be hooked up.

Look for more soon

Looking good! Do you plan on keeping the obd ii so that you can hook up a scan tool?

Wow I wish I had enough money for a 460 before I did my v8 conversion a few weeks ago.

I didn't have to butcher the floor. The crossmember is a pain though. Beings mine is a short wheel base truck the frame starts to bend upward right where the mount is for the e4od and it has to be lowered 4 inches on mine.

Do you have a pin out chart for the wiring harness? You've done a great job!
