I posted once before in the CO regional forum and after weeks... had ZERO response. So I'm trying a bigger and yet more focused audience...
I have a flashing OD light and would like to find out what's going on ASAP. I live up in Frederick (exit 235 off I-25) and I am willing to drive to meet up with someone, but obviously the closer the better, as I don't want to hurt the transmission. It seems to shift fine and doesn't do anything "strange" but I have a family vacation in a few weeks and I need the truck "healthy".
Before you make the run for the AE.... Are the shifts a little harder?
Mine started doing that and I pulled codes. Turned out to be the transmission range sensor that mounts on the side of the tranny. $47 dollars and 5 minutes and all was good.
But alot of parts store have it listed as the Neutral safety switch.
Although mine was also starting to give me issues in that I had to move the shifter to get it to start.
Shift quality is the same and the light is someone random. Matt I was able to meet me today scan the codes. I need to replace my wiper stalk for sure and may change the shift lever as well. I'll report back on my results.
