Finally got around to modifying my stock air cleaner...been planning to do this for years but now got around to it as I'm wrapping up my engine build. I used 3" 18 gauge exhaust tubing, cut holes with a 3" hole saw, welded the pieces on with a MIG, cleaned it up with bondo, paint, and it turned out great.
I plan to run ducts down to each side of the radiator to pull fresh air from behind the grill. Haven't decided yet if I'll use flexible ducting (don't really like how it looks) or fabricate solid tubes with a couple flex joints, but I'll post pics when I finally get it done...though that will probably be a month or more yet.
