Here we go.
Made a quick stop and left engine running.
Got back in truck and continue on my journey.
Engine stalled.
I was towed to a local garage.
To shortened the process a little -
Engine was opened up.
Blown head gaskey.
The mechanic stated the #5 fuel injector stuck.
Good news did not bend the piston rod.
Work performed:
New head job.
New fuel inector (one)
New Spark plugs
Oil change.
The mechanic stated the cam phasers were going bad.
He recommended locking them out.
Now the truck runs good but idles rough.
Ocasionally stall at intersection.
Throttle body and map was later cleaned.
Rough idle continued.
Purchase the SCT with the program for locked out cam phasers.
Did not help
However the codes P0011 and 0021 went away.
I also had P3198 it went away after throttle body cleaning.
I wonder if the cam phaser lockout is causing the problem.
Help.
