Head Gasket
Anyone have advise on choosing a head gasket? I need a set for a marine application but the only set I can find is 0.080 over... My cylinders are only bored to 0.030 over. Should I just way over size it or what?

I like Felpro's O.E expanded graphite gaskets for the roller 5.0's. Clean the decks, spray em both sides with Kopper Kote, then bolt em down. This is what I did on my 331 with it's aluminum heads 9 years ago. Before that I had em on a 5.0 with the Print-O seal (P.O.S for short, also connotates something else) Over heated it a couple times then and blew a gasket. Had it just aas hot many times since with the expanded graphite ad no problems. Don't worry about the gasket bore size, it's not important.

I know many marine parts are labelled as such to inflate the price... I think with head gaskets the concern is corrosion from using water as a coolant; typically Marine gaskets are stainless. Would the graphite have any issues in this environment?
