I am quite certain that this subject has been beaten to death. I actually found a cable the other day and now I can't find it again!
Be that as it may, I am looking for the HEater Control Cable that selects which outlet you want the air to come out of (Defrost, Floor, A/C Vent, etc).
The Ford Parts Web site says this part is obsolete. Not surprising since my truck is a 1987.
However, I know there are some creative individuals out there that know of a place where I can find a new aftermarket cable that will work or someone has come up with a suitable fix utilizing some obscure type of wire that is flexible enough to bend and strong enough to withstand the constant flexing without breaking. Or someone has figured out a way to modify a cable and make it work.
So without trying to re-invent the wheel, can someone give a brudda a hand?
