Valair clutch question

Hey everyone-
Just got my Valair SMF clutch conversion done a couple of hundred miles ago and I had a question. How much harder (stiffer) should the clutch pedal be?
The clutch is a single disc HD brass/organic and I had the clutch master and slave changed at the same time (I had to as the new clutch would not work with the old ones.) The clutch is smooth and seems to engage properly but my clutch pedal is very stiff (at least double if not more of the pressure needed on the stock setup). I kind of remember a thread where Rubberduck had chimed in saying that he was part of the R&D for some of the Valair clutches and that the clutch pedal was always like stock or a little softer. Is there a problem with my install? I understand that this is a heavier duty clutch and is more aggressive than stock. I've driven a lot of different trucks including heavier rigs and have never had to deal with a clutch this heavy. Will this break-in and get lighter or is there something wrong? I would hate to damage the new clutch. Thanks for all your help!

I cant say much for how it is supposed to be, but mine is hard to push as well. I have no issues with it, and like that it has a little stiffness to it as it makes slipping/slowly releasing it easier. Everyone who drives mine thinks its different, but the clutch has 90k miles on it and no issues besides the fact its about time for a new one....
