Hey I have A 92 ranger 4.0 5speed 4x4. There's new E3 plugs in it wires are new no miss when driving but ideling sounds like I have a 351 with a hudge cam in it lol. Not like thats a bad idea. any help please?
Pull those E3 plugs out and put in the proper Motorcraft plugs and see if that makes any difference. Also, did you use Motorcraft wires or aftermarket? Between the plugs and wires, you're probably not generating enough energy to provide proper spark to the cylinders which might be what is causing your loping idle.
I developed a miss last summer, replaced all the ignition components still had it. I changed the injectors and it went away. so when its running try to listen and check if the injectors are working or not. use a stethescope ($5 at harbor freight) or you can use a long screw driver to transfer the noise to your ear.
Check above , and firing order . If all that good , check for a burnt valve . It still happens . Runs good , miss at idle . Could be a valve issue . Just a thought !
