i have a 1992 f150 with the 302 but the engine is junk so i have a new one but its carbureted i believe i need a fuel Regulator? what should i use?

What trans is in your truck? If it's an auto this is a lot more complicated than you may think.. that trans is computer controlled and it needs input from the engine sensors or the trans won't function properly. So if that's the case you may as well put the EFI system on the replacement motor and bolt it in, but if you have a manual trans then you need a bypass fuel regulator and a duraspark distributor and ignition box.
Why the hell do people wanna go back to carburetors. Fords fuel injection system is a damn fine system. Just bolt the EFI intake onto the carb'd 302 and put it in your truck and never look back at the carb and carb intake. As a matter of fact, just sell it the carb and intake.

thanks but i know all of that i just need help with the fuel regulator but ill figure it out.
You could just switch to a mechanical fuel pump ( bolts to the side of the block) and run a fuel pick up line back to the tank. I'm pretty sure they make adjustable fuel regulators too thought
