Looking for a down pipe
Hey I have a '97 7.3L 5spd I'm looking for a down pipe and I can't seem to find one for a manual trans I also can't find I one that don't require you to smash up the floor of the cab does anyone know where I can find one for my truck thanks

Most of the after market down pipes ( Y pipe?) are only available when you buy a replacement catalytic converter, you can't get them separately. I ran into the same issue with my '90 F250, I had a muffler shop fabricate a new y pipe.

I thought you could get a 3 or 3.5" in there without bashing in the firewall. Then you could put your cat back inline, then it flares up to 4". Or if you don't need cat for inspection, leave it out.
eBay is where you'll find just a downpipe or complete exhaust for cheap.
Or if you want quality, call riffraff diesel. Clay will figure out exactly what you need and set you up right.

ANY aftermarket down pip have you flattening out the pinch weld. Just nature of the beast. the stock DP was 4" than smashed down to 2"
Aftermarket ones are 3" and 2 piece. I had decent luck with Hyperma
but only aluminized)
Had **** pore luck with MBRP(fit like CRAP)
The MBRP got replaced with a Flo-Pro stainless one that fits perfect
BTW this was on stick trucks
