Well coming home the other night from work ( I work shift work) I came across one of the poor officers of the law painting new speed trap lines in the road ( i live in a very small town 6 or 7 cops total). I asked why he was allowed to spray paint grafitti in the road like that and then went on to ask him about my lights. ( I know the guy since it is such a small town) and he said absolutely no way. Both the lighted logo and the blue spray lights on my hood are illegal. I can change the spray lights to white or green if I like and it is easy enough but lets face it the logo has to be blue :-\. Hope this is some help on the issue.
