I am not entirely sold that my EGR is failing in my truck, so part of checking, I pulled my EGR valve and cold CAC tube. The CAC tube had some oil, but no coolant. The EGR valve was plugged, and in cleaning it I found some very wet coke, which didn't smell of coolant, in the intake manifold and the coke on the valve was very clay like in consistency...
What should the coke in there be like, and is the moisture more likely to be related to the oil or possible coolant regardless of not smelling like coolant...
Of note, I am not getting much smoke, only a small volume bluish smoke until everything is up to temp - which I think is more likely related to stiction due to fpr failure. I am losing coolant - a lot - but I am finding several leaks in my coolant lines...
EDIT: Also, no puking etc, brand new cap and degas bottle because the last bottle somehow began leaking.
Here is mine about 1/2 way into an oil change
cycle.
Check the condition in a few thousand miles if you still seeing
smoke then maybe it time to do more testing.
