trying to replace line, the one from the bottom of the pump to steering box. That seemed to be my leak when turning the wheels...it sprayed out then just leaked as well.
#1 got the line unscrewed from steering box but it doesn't come out...? is there a ring on the line keeping it in the box? I had my jeep one rebuilt and took off/on myself but that was a few yrs ago but I don't remember having any issues like this..tried just pulling it out and it isn't budging.
#2 getting it off the pump...it's a bear...I guess like most frozen bolts lube and wait? I did have ps fluid leak on it. Got it turned (I didn't feel any give) enough to start leaking out.
if its unscrewed all the way it may be holding up on the o-ring that seals it, just pull i dont see anything that could hold it in otherwise. on the pump mine was a bear the first time, just sprayed to with some pb blaster and worked it finally gave.
ok, yeah it seems like the end of the line is stuck down inside the steering box...I thought there might be a lip (like the end of a trumpet type..) on the line that would press against the outside of the box helping it secure down. Maybe it slipped inside?
